As a lifelong resident of Kitchener ward 1, I am committed to making our city a better place for all of us.
A former journalist and communications professional, I have 20 years of experience listening to communities, asking tough questions and cutting through the noise to the heart of the message.
Listening to my friends and neighbours, I know this community is frustrated by the lack of information coming from city hall, and the lack of opportunity for input. I’m passionate about getting your voice heard.

Building communities together
You deserve to have input in what your community looks like. The City of Kitchener needs to do more to make sure residents are consulted for every major building project happening in their neighbourhood.
I’m committing to increasing the standards we use to notify the community of applications for zoning changes and building permits, increasing the number of town halls, and really listening to residents about what is acceptable in their community.

We’re in a housing crisis. City hall would have you believe the answer is to build, baby, build; but our problem isn’t with availability, it’s with affordability. I want to ensure we’re creating housing that’s affordable for everyone.

Giving your money back to you
I will commit to a 10% pay decrease from day one.
In April 2026, Kitchener city councillors voted to increase their pay from $62,385 to $68,803, for what is still considered a part-time role, according to CityNews.
I’m committing to ensuring I give that increase back to tax payers, and will put forward a motion to decrease my salary by $6,800 a year, from day one.
